Even if your emergency isn’t much of an emergency, we assume you would call emergency services because you are hoping for emergency response, right? Because otherwise, why did you bother calling them? Why did you waste their time with your silly question? If it’s something that you can figure out on your own, you probably should do that and not tie up important resources.

So it’s kind of baffling when someone calls 911 for an “emergency” and then they get really upset when 911 responds. If you didn’t want someone coming out to check on it, lady, why did you call?
