#8: Unexpected Eavesdropper
Here’s another story about the dangers of 911 dispatchers overhearing things that you’re saying. Now, I would bet that 99.9% of us have, at one point in our lives, said we are going to kill someone or something—only in jest, of course. It can be a way to let off steam, as long as the people around you understand you’re not serious.

But if it just so happens that your dog has dialed 911 and someone is listening in, that’s probably a bad time to make a death threat. They have to take stuff like that seriously, so it’s no surprise that this woman who threatened to kill her dog found herself swarmed by police cars. Maybe there’s a lesson in there about finding another way to vent other than making death threats.
