Olympics Costumes That Made a Statement

American figure skater and commentator Johnny Weir was never one to shy away from the Avant-Garde. “Drab” and “bland” aren’t words that are part of his vernacular. At the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Weir sported a lovely black and gold coat as well as a marvelous pompadour.

It’s a pompadour that would make Danny Zuko green with envy. Perfectly coiffed and camera-ready, Weir was the picture of elegance. He encapsulated Olympic class. That being said, he may give The Hunger Games’ Caesar Flickerman a run for his money. He looks as though he might announce Katniss Everdeen’s arrival.
