33. Stand Out From the Crowd
Germany’s own Katarina Witt smashed records in the figure skating world, and managed to take home multiple Gold medals in 1984 and 1988. However, her stellar performances weren’t the only things that had folks buzzing. Her risqué ensembles were also the talk of the town. But that’s par for the course in figure skating.
As you can see in the photo above, Witt’s garb was anything but safe. In fact, her outfit choices facilitated the “Witt Rule,” which stated that women had to wear attire that concealed their naughty bits. No flashes! In true Katarina Witt fashion, the pic is her response to the said rule. Never change, Katarina.
