Ah, the Olympics. The one global event that unites us as a planet. A time when we set aside our petty squabbles and disagreements in equal measure and enjoy good-natured sports! We root for our respective country’s athletes to excel at sports-ball. We all have our favorite field. Go, sports-ball! Of course, the costumes for the games always make a statement all on their own, and for some of us – that’s reason enough to watch the Olympics! In honor of the 2021 Olympics, we’ve collected some note-worthy outfits that left an impression on fans throughout the years.

45. Ralph Lauren’s Sochi Look
It wouldn’t be the Olympics without unique costumes! Sometimes, world-famous designers score the coveted role of designing outfits for superstar athletes. Ralph Lauren had that honor for the 2014 Sochi, Russia games. He curated pieces for Team USA. As you can see below, warmth was the name of this game.

The athletes sported cozy caps, warm coats, sweatpants, and matching boots. Of course, America’s signature red, white, and blue was the color scheme. It’s a bit busy, in our humble opinion. Namely, the coat. But it does give off a vintage, old-school American feel. Perhaps that was the objective.
