9. Burundi Pride
Burundi isn’t as recognized as its East African neighbors. However, for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, the country showed up in a big way. For the opening ceremony, the nine Burundian athletes entered the fray in traditional East African garb and hunting spears. The designs are vibrant and eye-catching.

One of the aforementioned nine athletes went on to snag a silver medal in the women’s 800-meter race. Wins and performances aside, it’s safe to say that Burundi made an impression with just their opening ceremony presence alone. We’re here for the fun patterns, signature clothing, and beautiful colors.
