Olympics Costumes That Made a Statement

New Zealand made an appearance at the Brazilian summer games in 2016. Funnily enough, their attire for the opening ceremony looks like something out of Game of Thrones or The Hunger Games. Perhaps they are the Watchers on the Wall. Where’s Jon Snow when you need him? Oh, right. According to Ygritte, he knows nothing.

If one didn’t look too hard, they might think the men in the above photo are David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the showrunners for Game of Thrones. We suppose this is one way to be remembered. And it’s very “warrior” of the Kiwis. But maybe Lord of the Rings would’ve been more apropos.
