#33: The Aftermath
When a hurricane hits, most of us watch the news and feel concerned and sorry for what’s happening; maybe we even donate a bit of money to the Red Cross for the victims. And then another news story comes along and we find something new to think about, and we don’t spare a second thought for the people who were so badly affected.
But for the people who live in the places that are hit by these extreme events, it’s not so easy to just move on to the next news story. They have to live with the aftermath of what has happened, sometimes for years, as they try to rebuild homes and communities.
