These Extreme Weather Events Prove That We Have No Control Over Mother Nature

It’s always a bit amazing to me to see how much people can become accustomed to extreme conditions. For instance, I, not coming from a place where tornadoes are common, would take them extremely seriously; if I were ever in a place where tornadoes happened, I would be vigilant about paying attention to weather reports and tornado warnings.

People who frequently experience tornado warnings, however, can become inured to the threat and stop paying much attention to them, leading to situations such as the one that this poster found herself in. She is very lucky to have escaped from that unharmed.
