#2: Tornado Alley
Did you know that around 75% of the world’s tornadoes occur in the United States of America? They are far less common in other countries. And within the United States, tornadoes are largely centered around a part of the Midwest known as Tornado Alley.
What this means is that most of us are fortunate in that we will never face a tornado. For those who do, though, it can be a very scary experience—especially if you don’t have a good place to shelter. This is why, if you live in an area that is prone to tornadoes, it’s important that you have an emergency plan in case one occurs.
