#30: Storm Etiquette
Here’s one way to make sure a routine errand run becomes extremely memorable: do it during a terrible storm, thereby increasing your risk of being struck by lightning. I jest, of course, but I bet this poster will never forget that day.
While many of us have heard that the best thing to do if we’re out in a storm is crouch low on the ground, so as to make ourselves less of a target for lightning, that’s actually not the case. The US National Weather Service says that rather than trying to shelter in the open, the best thing to do is to keep moving until you can get to a “substantial building or hard topped vehicle.”
