#15: Snowed-In
Living in heavy snow areas is not for the faint of heart, especially if you live far away from civilization. It is not uncommon in some areas for blizzards to come in and dump inches or even feet of snow in a matter of hours, leaving people trapped inside their homes.
And if you, like this person, live far away from any towns, then it is not likely that any snow plows are going to make it out to your neck of the woods for a long time—not until they have finished digging out the areas inside and close to town. I suppose that if you lived in a secluded area, you would learn very quickly to be prepared with extra food and emergency supplies.
