Every improvement and renovation can be rewarding but challenging. This person lives in an 18th-century era home that has served as everything from a residential home to a tavern.

The homeowner shared that back in the day, people would throw their broken objects and defunct household tools under the house whenever they broke or lost their usefulness. As a result, their home’s foundation is filled with broken pieces of ceramic and so much more. Miraculously, they found an intact plate among the broken trash heaps. The plate looks a little worse for wear, but it’s pretty cool to see a tavern plate that someone from the 1700s probably ate on.
