#34: Different Strokes for Different Folks
Interior design is so subjective. Someone posted this photo of an old linoleum floor that their parents found in their home. The person who posted the photo loves the style and color of the old flooring, but their parents want to cover it up with something new. Ultimately, it’s their house, so they can do what they want, but the original poster couldn’t help but feel disappointed.
The flooring appears to be from the 1970s. The color and pattern are definitely giving off a ‘70s vibe. What would you do? Many people who lived through the trends of the ‘70s don’t want anything to do with it today. However, some young people find the “retro” colors and patterns appealing. Different strokes for different folks!
