This homeowner got two new windows without paying for installation or new materials. They were painting their new-to-them Dutch Colonial from the 1920s when they made a huge discovery. Two gorgeous stained glass windows were hidden beneath the fireplace’s wood paneling! Why anyone would want to cover these beauties up is beyond our comprehension.

Naturally, this homeowner decided to restore these windows to their former glory. They ripped off the new wood paneling and let the filtered light stream into their living room. Gone are the boring gray walls synonymous with gentrified house flips. These stained glass windows are beautiful pieces of history.
