The thing is, this small child isn’t buckled into a car seat or anything. The baby is just hanging out in a wicker chair that looks precariously attached to the back of the bike!

If we saw this on social media today, most of us would freak out about child endangerment and neglect. Things were simply different back in the 1930s when this photo was taken.
