#9: Oh, The Irony
A flat tire is a major inconvenience. This photo goes to show that there is always someone else out there who is worse off than you. This 1966 photo shows a man with a pickup truck jam-packed with used tires. The irony? His truck has a flat tire. He’s stranded on the side of the road somewhere in Houston, Texas. Legend has it that he might still be stranded there all these decades later.
This photo is the living embodiment of Alanis Morissette’s famous lyric, “It’s like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife.” This poor guy has a truck full of tires, but none of them are in good enough shape to act as a replacement for his truck. Real-life irony knows no bounds.
