This 20s-era photo was taken when stunt pilot Howard Casterline crashed his plane into a tree while flying over Hartford City, Indiana. Imagine looking out your front window and seeing something like this!

Thankfully, Howard Casterline wasn’t injured in the crash. We can see him in the photo, sitting atop his destroyed plane in the tree.
