Can you imagine a world without computers? Even if you were born in a decade without household computers, you probably can’t imagine modern life without the convenience of a smartphone or laptop. Computers have certainly changed the world in unimaginable ways. But what did we do before computers? Well, take a look at this photo to find out.
This photo shows how airlines would take customer reservations before computers. Yeah, we can’t figure out how it works, either. This complicated-looking system actually makes perfect sense. It worked out pretty well before computers, after all. People would call to make a flight reservation, and then they’d have to wait for their reservation to be confirmed in order to book a ticket. There are times when we don’t miss the pre-computer analog days.
