#10: Phone Booth Shenanigans, 1975
Looking through retro photographs is fun because it can create a personal connection with the past. This photo shows us that kids have always been, well, kids. This group of kids in New York City was having a blast trying to cram as many people as possible into this phone booth back in 1975. Photographer Meyer Leibovitz captured this carefree moment.

The interesting thing is that Leibovitz was mainly a sports photographer. He must have been walking around the city when he spotted these fun-loving kids having the time of their lives. We might freak out about new technology and “the kids these days,” but the truth is that kids will always be like this photo. They just want to mess around and have a good time with their friends while being silly.
