#34: Not So Sweet Jelly
This jellyfish is pretty astounding in its size. The Lion’s Mane Jellyfish is the largest and it can grow even larger than a Blue Whale, so it appears the one this diver has come across isn’t even particularly large. The aptly named aquatic creature is only about double the size of its human neighbor.
I wouldn’t be particularly keen to run into one of these in the wild, or for that matter, in any place whatsoever, especially considering their quite powerful sting. However, I’m told there are much smaller jellyfish off the coast of Australia that are just as deadly, if not more.
