#15: Holy Rocket Ship
If there’s something humans are really good at building, it’s places of worship. The most impressive structures around the world were often built as a tribute to some deity or other. The Hallgrimskirkja Lutheran church in Iceland certainly deserves a place on that list.
While I’m not quite sure how to pronounce it, I’m sure that its rocket-ship-like appearance makes it one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve seen (at least in pictures). The thick cloud of fog that it’s shrouded in does make it seem a little bit creepy as well.
