This beautiful piece of art probably can’t be attributed to Mother Nature, but it does make the most of some of her gifts, using Japanese rice paddies to create a unique and pretty cartoon. The Japanese are known for their ability to create something aesthetic out of pretty much everything.

Even so, rice paddies are not a medium I’ve seen used for artistic expression. I wonder if the rice still comes out as tasty as usual. I wouldn’t want to think what it would be like to pick up a piece of nigiri sushi and suddenly encounter the taste of calligraphy ink.
