It’s often the art of Mother Nature that defies our belief the most. The natural world contains all sorts of aesthetic wonders that, by design or accident, eclipse the greatest of human creations. The shells of these terrapins are so beautiful. They almost look like contour maps for hiking trails.

Each baby terrapin turtle receives its own individual and unique design. I suppose it’s prudent of the parents to make sure that they can tell them apart and don’t accidentally pick up the wrong baby turtle from Turtle Elementary School. It’s not only nature’s artwork but also an insurance policy.
