#28: The Happiest of Birthdays
So far, we’ve talked about a lot of different ways to trick someone who is uncomfortable accepting charity from other people into getting something that you need or want them to have but that they would refuse under different circumstances. In this case, the guy’s not in need; it’s just that it’s his birthday, and people like to treat people on their birthdays.

So here’s one creative way to pay for his meal: get the restaurant to tell him that the meal is on the house. He’s happy, and the restaurant gets a fan for life. I just hope that the word doesn’t get around and people start coming to the restaurant on their birthday expecting a free meal, too.
