Lying for a Good Cause: Wholesome Secrets People Keep from Their Loved Ones

When I was a kid, I didn’t really understand why my teachers always insisted that we had to bring a valentine for everyone in class if we were going to bring any; why wouldn’t I just give them to my friends? Now that I’m older and I hear the saddest stories about people not getting anything on Valentine’s Day, I totally get why teachers do that, and I’m completely in favor.

How sad would it be to sit through a day of class and know that no one bothered to give you a Valentine? Luckily, in this case, these girls decided to be kind despite it not being required by their teacher. I’m glad this kid got at least one Valentine’s card that day.
