Lying for a Good Cause: Wholesome Secrets People Keep from Their Loved Ones

OK, so to be fair, in this next story I’m not entirely certain what the secret is—maybe that this guy wants so badly to be a dad?—but it’s so wholesome that we couldn’t not include it here. This guy has never had biological children of his own, but he has been a father figure in so many important ways to so many people. 

College can be a really hard time for a lot of people, who may be away from home for the first time. They’re not used to not having family close by, especially parents, who are so often the people who teach us life skills, comfort us when we’re down, and cheer us on. So for this guy to step into that role for people whose families are too far away to do so is heartwarming. He might not be their literal fathers, but he’s awfully close.
