#32: How to Have a Great Night
I’m a big fan of the power of stories, which probably shouldn’t surprise you, as I’m creating this article because I’m a professional writer. I love writing, but I also love telling stories in person. And what this means is that I frequently find myself in situations where something has gone terribly wrong or completely off the rails, and I just shrug and say, “At least this will make a good story later.”

And as this joke points out, one of the superpowers of a good story is that it can retroactively turn an okay experience into a great experience. It’s all about perspective and finding the humor, the intrigue, or the excitement in every experience.
