#23: They Go Together Like a Horse and Carriage
We’ve all heard the old saying that love is blind. To be honest, I’ve never been completely sure what that means, and based on the myriad of ways I’ve heard other people use it, I don’t think anyone knows precisely what it’s supposed to mean. Does it mean that love makes you blind to your loved one’s faults? Or that it makes you blind to everything around you? Or is it just that when you’re in love, you might stop noticing that the person you love isn’t all that good-looking?

Whatever it means, it’s also true that love might make you see everything with rose-colored glasses, and that marriage makes you take them off really quickly. And I think that’s one of the things that’s good about marriage. It’s not always easy, but it forces you to learn how to compromise and work together with someone.
