I love watching heist shows, so sometimes I imagine that all thieves are coming up with really elaborate plans to steal a painting or a million dollars. The truth, though, is that the majority of robberies that happen really don’t earn that much money: mugging someone on the street or stealing a purse, though it won’t earn you a lot of money, is definitely a lot easier.

Or you could go a different route altogether: rather than mugging people or assembling a team of experts to steal the Hope Diamond, you could just get a job that allows you to rake in the cash. Of course, some people, like this joke writer, will consider you a thief. But on the other hand, you might make a whole lot of money.
