#34: How to Get Away with Murder
It’s weird to think about, but there are parts of the world that don’t fall under any country’s jurisdictions. You’ve probably heard about international waters, but usually when you’re in international waters, you’re on a ship that’s flying the flag of some country or another. To be truly out of any country’s jurisdiction, you need to be somewhere unique.
So how about on an iceberg in international waters? That’s where a murder was once committed, leaving everyone stumped about who had jurisdiction over prosecuting the crime. So the moral of the story is that if you want to get away with murder—at least for a while, while the courts argue over who gets to try your case—lure your victim to an iceberg.
