#12: Salsa
You know how selective hearing means we only hear what we want to hear at certain times? In a similar way, selective seeing means we see what we want to see. Okay, so it’s not a real thing, but it looks like that’s what happened to this person. When they got their paper back with the mark “salsa,” they were utterly confused.
They asked their friend why would their teacher write “salsa” on their paper in place of an actual grade. Their friend corrected their mistake, saying the teacher wrote “59/59”. Maybe this person was really hungry at the moment and all they could think about was food! That would make a lot of sense.
