#9: A Way with Words
If you were one of the book people that I talked about above, how excited would you be to find out that the friendly and wise bookstore owner was, in fact, an acclaimed author? That’s exactly what happened with Alice Munro. I love this story so much.

It takes a lot of chutzpah and confidence to read published authors—people whose work has been determined by important and serious publishing houses to be worth printing—and say to yourself, “Honestly, I could do better.” Fortunately, in Munro’s case, she was right: she could do better. This acclaimed Canadian short story author has won numerous awards for her writing.
