#15: Thank You for Not Smoking
How far would you go for your craft if you were an actor? For instance, what if a scene requires you to smoke a cigarette, but you prefer not to smoke for health or other reasons? For the sake of your career, would you force yourself to smoke and, therefore, damage your body?

Luckily, there is another option. Prop cigarettes can be made that don’t have tobacco in them, giving you the look of a real cigarette without any of the health risks. William B. Davis, who played the big bad villain The Cigarette Smoking Man for a decade on the X Files, used these to create his character’s defining trademark without ever actually smoking.
