Here’s an important public service announcement. There’s a good chance that at some point, you’ve seen a photo on social media of the absolute cutest tiny pigs; these adorable little guys are referred to as teacup pigs, presumably because they’re so small that they could fit into a teacup. Who wouldn’t want one of these as a pet?

There’s one problem: as this writer points out, there’s no such thing as a teacup pig. These tiny pigs are usually tiny because they are young, underfed, or both. So they only stay tiny and cute for a while; they will grow, like most pigs, to be pretty large. So please do your research before you get one of these pigs because it’s heartbreaking when people buy them when they’re tiny and then get rid of them when they grow up.
