#12: Survival of the Fittest
This person’s grandparents were having a serious discussion about something most older people probably think about at one point or another: death. They weren’t talking about it in a morbid way, more in a practical sense. They were kind of arguing about which one of them would pass away first, and this grandma thankfully brought some levity into this depressing conversation.
She looked her husband (aka grandpa) straight in the face and said that it takes about three weeks for a person to die of starvation, so he’ll be close behind her if she goes first. Hah! This poor man wouldn’t be able to fend for himself in the kitchen, and she knows it. He probably knows that’s the absolute truth, too, if he’s being honest with himself. He better learn how to make some toast or canned soup in the meantime, just in case.
