#10: Age Is Just a Number
If Kate’s grandma taught her anything, it’s that age is just a number. It doesn’t matter how old you are in years as long as you stay young at heart. Twitter user Kate’s grandma lived in a senior living complex for the last few decades of her life, and she definitely let her opinions about her neighbors be known.
She was always complaining about all the “old people” she lived with in the complex. When Kate would point out that she’s one of these old people, she’d be quick to point out that there were others who acted way older than her. These crotchety old people thought and acted like old people, while she made an effort to keep an open mind and youthful spirit in her old age. Keeping an open, flexible mind is a valuable lesson we can all learn from Kate’s grandma.
