#33: Coors Rocky Mountain Sparkling Water
You likely know Coors Brewing Company for their popular beer. But 30 years ago, in 1990, the company decided it wanted to add a non-alcoholic beverage to its selection. And so the Coors Rocky Mountain Sparkling Water was born. But the product’s close resemblance to Coors Beer caused a lot of issues for consumers.
Because of its confusing appearance, sales never really took off for Coors Rocky Mountain Sparkling Water. Seven years after its release, Coors Brewing Company took the product off the shelves forever, classifying it as yet another product fail. If only Coors had gone with a different design, it may have had a successful product on its hands.
