People seem to think that acting can be such an easy job; you show up to set, get your hair and make-up done, and then read lines from a script. If only it were that simple. Often, actors have to be quick-witted and prepared for anything, which can take years of practice, experience, and even creativity. While movies and TV shows are usually carefully scripted, mistakes do happen. In those cases, you have to be flexible and roll with it. Here are some examples of times actors had to use their talent to cover up a mistake on the fly because you know what they say in show business – the show must go on!
#1: Car Trouble
Although the show Seinfeld doesn’t need any help in the humor department, a little extra humor in unscripted bloopers never hurts. For example, in the iconic episode The Parking Garage, the gang spends the entire episode running around a garage looking for their car. Somehow, this crew made those 30 minutes hilarious and oh-so-relatable.
However, the funniest part wasn’t even part of the original script. After the gang finally finds their car and gets ready to get out of the parking garage, the car decided they weren’t going anywhere. No, really. The car actually did not start. The script was supposed to have them drive away, but they all agreed the irony here is much funnier.
