#2: The Janitor Knows Best
There are a lot of hospital-based shows out there, but one of the best in the genre is Scrubs, hands down. Having a hilarious janitor on set always had to have made the filming so much better. The best part about having a natural-born comedian onset is not having to put too much work into his lines—even when his role is relatively small. The actor makes the part, not the other way around.

Actor Neil Flynn is better known as Mike Heck, the dad from The Middle, but he also brilliantly played the wacky janitor on Scrubs. Neil is naturally funny, so when he was placed as a hospital janitor, he made the best character to mop a floor. The best part is he often improvised. Many of his scripts stated, “Whatever Neil says.” Good move, writers.
