#25: Work Is Life
Start-up work culture has taken the world by storm in the last few years. Many employers fell in step with places like Google and Apple to try and entice young Millennials to come work for them. From bean bags to kombucha on tap, many offices try to look cool and cutting edge to make work seem fun. There’s just one problem- it’s still work.
Millennials eventually caught on to what was happening. Turns out they are still overworked and underpaid, just with an open floor plan. Millennials typically don’t stay at a job for as long as Baby Boomers do, and older generations seem mystified by this. Why are they leaving for other, higher-paying jobs when the office offered ping pong tables?! The world may never know.
