Learning to write in cursive was a rite of passage for many of us going through elementary school. Surprisingly, the topic of teaching cursive in schools today has become a hot-button issue. Some schools still teach it as an essential skill, while other schools or districts have taken it off their curriculum. When this issue first came on the scene, lots of Baby Boomers had opinions!

Most Baby Boomers would agree that learning cursive is still an essential skill. How else will people create their signatures as adults? This Twitter user feels frustrated by a lot of Baby Boomers’ desire to hold on to the past without learning new skills that can help them in today’s world. He criticized these cursive-lovers for not being able to work a basic laptop without getting a bunch of viruses and falling for an email scam. No matter what you think of cursive, you should learn how to properly use a computer. It is 2022 after all!
