This person’s grandparents met under the most stressful of circumstances. Their grandmother had to be smuggled out of the country she grew up in during World War II, and her future husband helped get her out of a dangerous situation. Falling in love in such a situation sounds like something from a dramatic movie, but it was real life for these two people.

We’re not sure if their grandfather was a soldier or a civilian, but either way, this is a pretty amazing story. We can’t imagine what so many people went through during World War II. It’s nice to know that something positive came out of such a horrific time in history. Love really can survive and flourish in the most stressful situations.
