35. I’ll Take the Salad With the… Marshmallows?
Ambrosia Salad is a uniquely American creation, a fruit salad often made with various kinds of canned fruit and topped with whipped cream, marshmallows, and other creamy type things to make it into a sweet dressing. Definitely more of a dessert salad; not recommended for those on a diet either.

This salad consists mostly of tomatoes and cucumbers, sometimes with bits of raw pepper, cabbage, onion, or parsley. A very big contrast to salad, as the sugar addiction in the US runs deep; We just couldn’t keep ourselves from turning even salads into a dessert, could we?
