Dogs in the Will
For some, a pet is the closest companion they will ever have in life. Naturally, this means that many people name their dogs as beneficiaries in their wills. Current estimates suggest that more than one million dogs currently stand to benefit from their owner’s passing. I’m my next life; I hope I reincarnate as Elon Musk’s dog!
I know a few people who work in the world of financial advising, and they confirm that this is true to an extent. However, they also state that writing a dog into a will is not a good idea. Apparently, it causes a lot of financial complications once the owner passes away – and that’s the last thing you want to do with your family!
