The dictionary defines “bird brain” as an informal term to refer to someone that is annoyingly stupid. However, it appears that this term is a bit of a misnomer, at least when you consider the relative intelligence of a chicken. Personally, I think chickens should be offended that we’ve given such a bad rep!

I’ll admit that this fact proves chickens to be much more sophisticated than I once thought. Apparently, chickens can do arithmetic and geometry, which makes me a bit bashful to admit that I struggled from time to time in my high school math classes. Although, I doubt they could write as well as me – so take that, chickens!
