#11: Conjunction Junction
Conjunction Junction, what’s your function? Well, a conjunction is a word that connects other words, phrases, and clauses together in a sentence. English grammar can be tricky, and a lot of the rules we learned in school are, in fact, not that big of a deal.
How many of us learned that starting a sentence with a conjunction was the end of the world? It was the biggest grammar sin anyone could possibly commit! The truth of the matter is that starting a sentence with a conjunction is perfectly acceptable. But beware of overdoing it. Don’t go to town and start every sentence with “and.”
