Bulls are famously associated with red because of the red cloth used in bullfighting. This has led to the misconception that bulls hate the color red, or that this color triggers something in their brain, which is why they are compelled to charge at the matador waving the red cloth.
However, this is nothing but a misconception, and it’s more than a little concerning that a school teacher would teach this in class. The truth is, bulls are color blind to the color red and can’t even distinguish it from other colors. What makes them charge during the bullfight is the waving of the cloth and the movements, not the color.
