A common lesson we all learn is that all people are either “left-brained” or “right-brained.” The left brain is associated with being analytical, logical, and data-driven. It’s the more “sciencey” part of the brain. The right brain is associated with more artistic, creative thinking. This all sounds familiar, right? Well, most of it isn’t true. 

The “left-brained” and “right-brained” ideas of personality and skill have largely been debunked. It’s true that both sides of the brain have different functions, but it’s not in a creative vs. analytical way. Humans don’t favor one side of their brain over the other.
