#11: The Truth, the Whole Truth, and Nothing but the Truth
While I believe in honesty, this one went a bit too far. You don’t stand in court and admit to crimes you aren’t being charged with! You’re just asking for an extra sentence and more time in court if this is what you say! Granted, he did exactly what his attorney asked him to, but he missed the nuance completely.

I bet he regrets taking his attorney’s advice now. Sure, the attorney didn’t exactly mean it like that, but they should know better than to tell a client something like that without adding a few caveats. They are a lawyer! It’s their job to be as specific as possible.
